FREE RENOVATION BUDGET CHECKLIST

I remember sitting in the office with Chris planning out our main floor renovation budget. We were jotting down every possible thing we could think of that we would have to spend money on for the remodel and we included everything from lumber and screws to millwork and paint. The notepad was filled with disorganized words and scattered numbers but after a few days of brainstorming, we finally nailed down our budget! I wish we saved that original notepad so I could share it with you today…oh well!

If you’re in the middle of planning a renovation for your home…I feel your excitement and stress! Doing everything yourself from planning and budgeting to demo and construction is such a fulfilling task but it can easily get overwhelming. Trust me I know! One of the biggest things we struggled with in the planning stages was knowing what all we needed to budget for. Of course we knew the obvious expenses like drywall, paint, and flooring, but there were also expenses we didn’t think of like the dump fees for our roll-off dumpster and the HVAC ductwork that needed replacing.

I know how long it took us to think of all our renovation expenses and I don’t want you to have to do the same. Let me make it easy on you! I’ve compiled our own checklist that we use on our renovations and organized it by room so that you can easily prepare your own renovation budget. This comprehensive checklist will help you remember all the things that you’ll need to purchase during the remodel so that you can create an accurate estimation of your expenses.

Like I said above, I broke it down room by room so it’s super easy to understand the checklist. Each space has unique necessities, therefore, each space gets it’s own checklist!
